Números Cardinales:
los números cardinales no varían en género ni número.Los números cardinales son aquellos que se usan para expresar una cantidad de elementos.

Números ordinales:
Expresan orden o sucesión en relación con los números naturales. Por lo tanto, no cuantifican al sustantivo, como los cardinales, sino que indican el lugar que su referente ocupa dentro de un conjunto ordenado de elementos de la misma clase.
Cuando se usan para ordenar se llaman ordinales, y cuando son usados para contar se llaman cardinales.
Números del 1 al 20
A excepción de los números 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th y 12th, el resto mantienen su forma original de escribirse, pero al final se agrega la abreviación "-th". En el caso del 20 (twenty), la "y" se reemplaza por la combinación de vocales "ie" y se agrega "-th".

Números del 21 al 99
Ten en cuenta que en estos números el último dígito (el que completa la cifra), es el que lleva forma de número ordinal.
Los números twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, se reemplaza la "y" por la combinación de letras "ie" y se agrega "-th".

Números desde el 100
Las mismas reglas aplican para éstos números. Manteniendo la misma norma dada con los números cardinales, las cifras compuestas como millares y decenas, se unen utilizando el artículo "and" ó una coma.
